Big E: IYO SKY Has ‘Left Rhea Ripley In The Dust†In 2025

Big E says Rhea Ripley might be WWEâ€s greatest overall performer, but IYO SKY has passed her in a few key areas.

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY will face Asuka and Kairi Sane at WWE Crown Jewel in Perth. The event should be a happy homecoming for Ripley, a native of Adelaide, Australia. However, as Big E pointed out on this weekâ€s RAW Recap, there might be some bad blood between the competitors who have to share the spotlight.

“I mean, can you blame her [for not trusting IYO]? How do you ever let go of the fact that this woman has beaten you time and time again? Also, you could argue that this is supposed to be Rheaâ€s big homecoming,†Big E said. “So, plenty of us thought, ‘Hey, this is the time.†Sheâ€s going to have a huge title match, main event, this should be her moment. And now, you start to wonder: is she feeling a certain way because she has to share the spotlight in Australia?â€

Big E pointed out that both women are great in their own right. However, he believes IYO SKY has surpassed Rhea Ripley based on her accolades and results in 2025. Based on that, he could see why Ripley is justified in her feelings towards the champion.

Big E points out why results matter

“IYO SKY as of late, if weâ€re just isolating this year and weâ€re just looking at in-ring, IYO, I think, has kind of left Rhea in the dust. And thatâ€s only based on results. I think Rhea is still arguably our greatest performer,†he said. “Rhea and IYO are neck and neck as far as ability. But simply looking at titles, main events, when weâ€re looking at wins and results, itâ€s been the year of IYO SKY.

“So, I donâ€t think you could really blame Rhea. And in many ways, sheâ€s the ‘fourth wheel†on a three-wheeled car,†Big E continued. “She is the extra wheel because this story is about the family, about the long-time friendship between the Kabuki Warriors and IYO. In many ways, Rhea is a bit of an outsider being inserted here. So for Rhea to have feelings or animosity or angst, I canâ€t say I blame her.â€
