
ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The Augsburg University volleyball team’s 2025 season came to an end with a three-set loss to the College of Saint Benedict in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference playoff quarterfinal match on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Augsburg was limited to just .019 hitting (25 kills, 23 errors in 103 attack attempts), while Saint Benedict hit .306 (37 kills, seven errors in 98 attacks). The Bennies also had 13 aces to none for the Auggies, and had seven team blocks to the Auggies’ three.
• Taliah Triggs (SO, Moorhead, Minn./Moorhead HS) had a team-high 11 kills on .226 shooting, adding four digs.
• Jovial King (SO, Caledonia, Minn./Caledonia HS) had 22 assists, eight digs and a block assist.
• Elizabeth Oster (JR, Bemidji, Minn./Bemidji HS) finished with four kills and a block assist.
• Maggie Lile (JR, Spring Grove, Minn./Spring Grove HS) had 14 digs, and Lola Pilon (JR, Farmington, Minn./Mounds Park Academy HS) had nine digs.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• The match marked the final collegiate competition for Augsburg seniors Taylor Hoehns (SR, Cedar Falls, Iowa/Dike-New Hartford HS) and Sierra Washington (SR, Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake HS). Washington had three kills and two block assists, and Hoehns had two kills and a block assist.
FOR THE FOES
• Keira McManus had 11 kills and a block assist to lead Saint Benedict.
• Kali Jones had seven kills, 13 digs and three block assists.
