Apollo Tyres has become the new official sponsor of Team India Jersey, replacing Dream11. The contract lasts until 2027, and Apollo Tyres will pay ₹4.5 crore per match, which is more than what Dream11 was paying earlier (₹4 crore per match). Dream11 ended their sponsorship after the government passed the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, which banned real money gaming and related advertisements.
Currently, the Indian men’s team is playing the Asia Cup without a sponsor logo on their jerseys. It is still not clear whether the women’s team will wear Apollo Tyres on their jerseys for the upcoming Women’s World Cup, which India is co-hosting with Sri Lanka. The deal gives them global visibility because of India’s busy international cricket schedule.
Dream11 ended its sponsorship of the Team India Jersey following the passage of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill in 2025. The law banned real money gaming, which affected Dream11’s business. With just two weeks left before the Asia Cup, the Indian team was left without a title sponsor.
BCCI confirmed the termination and stated it will not partner with companies whose core business is impacted by such laws in the future. Dream11 informed BCCI’s CEO that they could no longer sponsor the team, and due to a contract clause, they are not liable to pay any penalties because the change in law affected their business.
Dream11 had become BCCI’s lead sponsor in July 2023, replacing Byju’s with a three-year deal worth ₹358 crore. They were also involved in the IPL, signing top players as brand ambassadors, and were the IPL trophy sponsor in 2020, replacing Vivo. Dream11 also has partnerships with foreign leagues like the Caribbean Premier League, Big Bash League, and Women’s Big Bash League, and associations with other sports leagues such as the Indian Super League, Pro Kabaddi League, and the International Hockey Federation.
