Another WWE SmackDown tag team is officially no more.
During Fridayâ€s episode of WWE SmackDown, the tag team group of The Miz and Carmelo Hayes, collectively known as Melo Donâ€t Miz, broke up. The split occurred backstage, with Hayes telling Miz that the pair were officially done with one another. The move comes just a week after Hayes watched The Miz lose a Number One Contenderâ€s Match against the Street Profits.
That match wouldâ€ve given the group a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championships. Afterward, Miz confronted Hayes about it, and Hayes simply said Miz shouldâ€ve done more to kick out. Things got even worse after Hayes came out to challenge Sami Zayn to a WWE United States Championship match. Before he could do much, Miz attacked Hayes from behind, knocking him out and allowing Aleister Black to take his spot.
With the two already on the outs, a breakup seemed inevitable, and now the pair are officially done. Itâ€s unclear what the future holds for them, but the pair now seems destined to go at it in the ring after Mizâ€s attack.
