AEW Fright Night Dynamite live results: On the road to Full Gear

The build to the Full Gear pay-per-view continues on tonight’s AEW Fright Night Dynamite.

Multiple matches on tonight’s episode have Full Gear implications, with new top title contenders to be crowned on the show.

A four-way will decide which wrestler will challenge Hangman Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at the pay-per-view. It will be Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Ricochet vs. Hook for the right to challenge the Hangman.

A four-way will also decide the next AEW Tag Team Championship challengers, with The Young Bucks vs. FTR vs. JetSpeed vs. Jurassic Express. The winners challenge Brodido for the Tag titles at Full Gear.

The tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions also continues on tonight’s show, with Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata vs. Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue and Julia Hart) in a quarterfinals matchup.

Jon Moxley will go one-on-one with Kyle O’Reilly on the program. A tornado tag with Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin vs. Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia is also set for the show.

The Don Callis Family will also hold a summit to discuss the recent tensions between Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita.

AEW Fright Night Dynamite comes on the air with Excalibur welcoming us alongside Bryan Danielson as they throw it right to Justin Roberts for the intros to our opening contest.

Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin vs. Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia in a Trick or Treat Tornado Tag Match

(A chaotic start to the night to get the crowd going, as the Death Riders spiral continues with Allin getting another member to submit. I wouldnâ€t mind if Cassidy & Allin were a more consistent tag team, but I donâ€t know if thatâ€s in the cards.)

Allin & Cassidy attacked at the bell, as Danielson is delighted that no tags are required here, so Yuta could get punched in the face at any moment. The match spills outside, where Yuta faked pulling out weapons, opting to flip the crowd off instead, only to get popped with a chair in the back by Allin. While placed on the chair, Allin got a head of steam in the ring and hit a low Tope, wiping out Yuta. Garcia tried shooting Cassidy into the barricade, but Cassidy cleared it like a hurdle, dared Garcia to come fight him, but got blindsided by Yuta, who joined Garcia in double teaming Cassidy in the crowd. As this was happening, Allin flew in from off-screen with a Coffin Drop. Yuta & Cassidy fought into the stands, as back ringside, Allin ran the barricade with a shotgun dropkick on Garcia, as chaos took us to commercial.

Back from break, Yuta & Garcia had regained control, as Allin was sent crashing to the floor, while they set-up tables ringside. Cassidy dared both back into the ring, hands in pockets, as he caught both with dropkicks and DDTs. Garcia dodged a Stundog Millionaire into a guillotine, as he gator rolled to the floor, placing Cassidy on the table, as Yuta flew off the top with a splash through it. In the ring, Allin dared Garcia to hit him with a skateboard, but it was a way to lure Garcia in, as once his head was down, Allin hit a Code Red. Quickly up to try a Coffin Drop, Yuta cut Allin off, with a Tree of Woe and boot to the groin, as Cassidy went up and made the save raking at the back, until Allin powered up into a low blow. Cassidy leapt off the top with a DDT, Allin followed with a Coffin Drop, but Garcia narrowly broke the count. Orange Punch delivered to Garcia on the apron, as Yuta was caught with Sole Food before Cassidy hit a dive on Garcia through a table. Allin applied the Scorpion Death Lock on Yuta, who had no choice but to tap out, the same way Jon Moxley submitted at WrestleDream. Danielson said giving up mustâ€ve been something he learned from Moxley, as he certainly didnâ€t learn it from him.

Match Result: Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin defeated Wheeler Yuta & Daniel Garcia when Allin submitted Yuta

-HOOK was shown arriving in the arena earlier today (there were guys backstage dressed in costumes, one being the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, a nice callback from a few years ago on Dynamite with Hangman Pageâ€s feud with The Elite) and said obviously heâ€s the underdog tonight, as heâ€ll be in there with decorated veterans, but he wouldnâ€t want it any other way. HOOK said heâ€ll be doing his best that Samoa Joe doesnâ€t win tonight, as he decided to show the world who he really is, someone HOOK already knew.

-Renee Paquette is backstage with Don Callis to talk about his Family Summit later tonight. Callis said tonight heâ€ll show his Family has never been stronger until he welcomed in The Young Bucks, saying itâ€s criminal what this company has done to them. Callis tells them to think about having a Family to have their back and told a production jobber to cue the entrance he had arranged for them. The Bucks walk by the same guys in costumes from earlier, looking at the Marshallow Man before heading to the ring. Paquette handed the mic to Callis to give a wildly over the top intro calling them one of the greatest of all time and brought up them being former friends of that rat bastard Kenny Omega. There were tons of pyro and The Bucks seemed pretty pleased with the intro.
