2025 Minor League Baseball Playoffs Results, Top Performers & More

With the calendar flipped to September, the 2025 MiLB regular season is winding down and postseason play getting ready to begin. Read on below as we update our complete rundown of league titles claimed and standout performers at each affiliate level.

Triple-A

The Triple-A regular season ends on Sunday, Sept. 21.

International League

Championship (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 23): Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Marlins) vs. TBD (Second-Half Champions)

Pacific Coast League

Championship (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 23): Las Vegas Aviators (Athletics) vs. TBD (Second-Half Champions)

Triple-A National Championship

Single-game championship between the International League champions and Pacific Coast League champions held on Sept. 27 in Las Vegas.

Double-A

The Double-A regular season ends on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Eastern League

First Round (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 16): Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets) vs. TBD (Northeast Second-Half Champions) and Eerie Seawolves (Tigers) vs. Altoona Curve (Pirates)

Championship Series (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 21): Northeast division winner vs. Southwest Division winner

Southern League

First Round (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 16): Chattanooga Lookouts (Reds) vs. Birmingham Barons (White Sox) and Biloxi Shuckers (Brewers) vs. Montgomery Biscuits
Championship Series (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 21): North division winner vs. South division winner

Texas League

First Round (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 16): Springfield Cardinals (Cardinals) vs. TBD (North Second-Half Champions) and Midland RockHounds (Athletics) vs. TBD (South Second-Half Champions)

High-A

The High-A regular season ended on Sunday, Sept. 7.

Midwest League

First Round (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 9): West Michigan Whitecaps (Tigers) vs. Lake County Captains (Guardians) and Cedar Rapids Kernels (Twins) vs. Beloit Sky Carp (Marlins)

Championship Series (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 14): East division winners vs. West division winners

South Atlantic League

First Round (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 9): Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets) vs. Greensboro Grasshoppers (Pirates) and Bowling Green Hot Rods (Rays) vs. Hub City Spartanburgers (Rangers)

Championship Series (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 14): North division winners vs. South division winners

Northwest League

Because the Northwest League is a six-team league, it only has one round of playoffs.

Championship Series (Best-of-5 series begins Sept. 9): Everett AquaSox (Mariners) vs. Eugene Emeralds (Giants)

Low-A

The Low-A regular season ended on Sunday, Sept. 7.

California League

First Round (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 9): San Jose Giants (Giants) vs. Fresno Grizzlies (Rockies) and Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Dodgers) vs. Inland Empire 66ers (Angels)

Championship Series (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 14): Winners of first-round series.

Carolina League

First Round (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 9): Lynchburg Hillcats (Guardians) vs. Fredericksburg Nationals (Nationals) and Columbia Fireflies (Royals) vs. Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Cubs)

Championship Series (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 14): North division winners vs. South division winners

Florida State League

Championship Series (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 9): St. Lucie Mets (Mets) vs. Daytona Tortugas (Reds) and Lakeland Flying Tigers (Tigers) vs. Clearwater Threshers (Phillies)

Championship Series (Best-of-3 series begins Sept. 14): East division winners vs. West division winners

Arizona Complex League

The ACL regular season ended on Thursday, July 24.

Champion: ACL Angels

The ACL Angels won four consecutive games to finish the season, culminating in the first ACL championship in franchise history. The Angels’ offense erupted in 14-9 win over the ACL Giants in Game 2, completing a sweep of a best-of-three series. They beat the Rockies in the semifinals to advance to the championship. Athanael Duarte smashed a towering solo homer to start the game and finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Lucas Ramirez, the son of Manny Ramirez, went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs.

Florida Complex League

The FCL regular season ended on Thursday, July 24.

Champion: FCL Blue Jays

For the first time in the organization’s history, the FCL Blue Jays won the Florida Complex League championship by beating the FCL Twins 7-5 in Game 2 of a three-game series. Dylan Leach had a bases-clearing double in the fourth inning, and Aldo Gaxiola broke the game open with a two-run single to give the Blue Jays the lead late in the game. The Blue Jays won three straight playoff games to close out the season.

Dominican Summer League

The DSL regular season ended on Aug. 19.

Champion: DSL Padres Gold

The DSL Padres Gold claimed the first-ever Dominican Summer League Cup in a decisive 12-5 Game 3 win over the DSL Athletics. Jhoan De La Cruz posted a .962 postseason OPS to help lead the DSL Padres Gold team past the DSL Pirates Gold in the semifinals and then claim the winner-take-all title tilt.
