Tony Khan is proud of the fact that fans of all walks see AEW events as being affordable.
Khan took part in a media call ahead of AEW All Out. During the call, Khan was asked about positioning AEW as a more affordable option compared to other forms of entertainment. In particular, WWE has been criticized for its rising ticket prices, with some viewing it as pricing out normal fans. Ricochet, in particular, recently encouraged fans to check out AEW if they believe WWE is becoming too expensive.
Khan says they have definitely tried to position All Elite Wrestling as more family-friendly compared to other promotions, and it’s been that way since the beginning.
“Well absolutely. AEW’s ticket pricing is designed to be very family-friendly. And it has been from the very beginning. Everyone involved with AEW from the beginning will tell you that we’ve always wanted to maintain affordable ticket pricing for the fans, in particular to bring families and young fans to the show and make it accessible for fans of all backgrounds, of all ages. I think it’s really exciting for us that we’re getting really good feedback about that,” Khan said.
Khan said the advanced sales for All Out in Toronto speak to the great fans AEW has, but also hopes it speaks to the value AEW offers.
“Hopefully, it speaks to what we’re trying to do to maintain affordable ticket prices for AEW shows for families. Because we are a family-friendly company when it comes to price the tickets to get families into the AEW shows, including All Out this Saturday afternoon.”
During the call, Khan also responded to calls for him to run an AEW event against WrestleMania 43 in 2027.
