John Cena gave an honest answer about why he’s not currently looking forward to having kids.
A fan asked Cena if he was looking forward to having children of his own during a recent appearance at FanExpo Boston.
“[You’re asking] if I look forward to having kids, [with a] question mark? Currently, no,” Cena said.
Cena said no, but explained why he understood the great responsibility it takes to be a parent. He pointed out how busy he currently is working, and it would not be fair to bring a child into the world and not give them his full attention.
“Well, from the information that I’ve gathered, you kinda gotta look after them,” Cena continued, after the fan asked why he said no. “Yeah. Yeah. I will just give you a small insight into my life; I have been working straight for 43 days now and I’ve got another 20 to go.
“So if I were to bring a life into this world that needs environmental nature and unconditional love, I also know that takes time. And I’ve been blessed with some incredible opportunities. Life has awarded me the chance to do some amazing things, and right now, I want to seize those opportunities. So I don’t want to make an irresponsible choice and bring a life into the world that I will neglect. I don’t think that’s fair.”
Cena complimented the fan for a great question and thanked them for being vulnerable enough to let him answer it.
John Cena is currently married to Shay Shariatzadeh. He does not have any children from his previous marriage.
