Taylor Swift Played A Private Three-Hour Concert For Jeff Jarrett’s Wife Before She Passed Away

WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett recently opened up about a heartfelt moment when Taylor Swift performed for his late wife in a three-hour, private concert.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Jarrett recounted the moment he calls an “amazing experience.” According to Jarrett, during the holiday season of 2006, Jarrett’s first wife was battling breast cancer. Swift, a family friend of theirs, put on a concert for the family at the behest of their daughters, who Jarrett said Swift used to babysit.

“It was Christmas of 2006,” said Jarrett (via Rolling Stone). “My first wife [Jill Gregory] was really ill with breast cancer. She passed away about five months after this, so she was really ill. Swift was a family friend who often babysat their young daughters. They were the ones who set the show in motion. “The girls wanted her to sing and play.”

Jarrett praised Swift for bonding with his daughters, and said she would still visit them from time to time. He also noted he still keeps in touch with her father, Scott Swift, and has enjoyed watching her grow up into the world’s biggest musician.

“She kind of bonded with the family, specifically with the girls. What a very cool relationship that developed. When my wife passed away, Taylor would come around, and was really good with the girls.

“It’s very cool to see this side of Taylor. She’s early 30s, and I can just see little kids running around when Scott and Andrea have grand babies. It’s really cool to see the evolution of her not of her professional career, but her personal life.”
